Privacy Policy for Kipin
JEONG SANGHUN ("Developer") values your privacy and is committed to complying with applicable data protection laws when operating the Kipin app (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is processed, and your rights as a user.
1. Information Collection and Use
The App is provided as a free service (with optional in-app purchases). We do not collect any personal information without your consent. The App requires internet access and storage access to provide its core functionality: allowing you to save, organize, and view your links, images, and memos.
All saved content (links, images, memos) is stored only in a local database on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit such content to any external server.
2. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services to operate and improve the service.
2-1. Firebase Analytics (Google)
We use Firebase Analytics to analyze app usage patterns and improve our service. The following non-personally-identifiable information may be collected:
- Device model, OS version, app version
- Approximate country/region
- In-app events and usage patterns
2-2. Google Analytics & Google Signals
We use Google Analytics and Google Signals to collect demographic information such as age range, gender, and interests in aggregate form to better understand our users and improve the service. This data is inferred by Google in anonymized aggregate form and cannot identify individual users.

2-3. Google AdMob
The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. The following may be collected to provide personalized or non-personalized ads:
- Android Advertising ID (AAID) or iOS Advertising Identifier (IDFA)
- Approximate location
- Device information
You can opt out of personalized advertising or reset your advertising ID at any time through your device settings.
2-4. Google Drive Backup (Optional, User-initiated)
When you explicitly enable this feature, the App signs you into your Google account to back up and restore your data (categories, links, images, memos) to your own Google Drive.
- Data processed: Google account email, OAuth authentication tokens
- Storage location: An app-specific folder in your own Google Drive (appDataFolder)
- The data is never transmitted to the Developer's servers, and the Developer cannot access your backup files.
- You can disconnect your account at any time within the App settings, or directly delete the backup files from your Google Drive.
2-5. In-App Purchases (Pro Upgrade)
Pro upgrades are processed through Google Play Billing. We do not directly access payment instrument information such as credit card numbers. Only purchase tokens and receipt information are processed locally to verify Pro activation.

3. Permissions
The App uses the following permissions to provide its core functionality:

- Photos / Media (Gallery): Used when you directly select images from your gallery to save
- Biometrics: Local device authentication (fingerprint, etc.) for accessing locked categories — biometric data never leaves your device
- Clipboard: Briefly check clipboard content to enable quick saving of copied links — content is not stored or transmitted
- Receive Shared Content: Receive content shared from other apps for the user to manually save — content is not transmitted externally
4. Data Retention and Deletion
We do not collect personally identifiable information or account registration data on our servers, so there is no personal account data to delete on our end.
- Local data: All data you save resides locally on your device. Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all local data and settings immediately.
- Google Drive backup data: You can delete backup files directly from your Google Drive or disconnect the account from the App.
- Third-party anonymous data: Anonymous data collected by third-party services (Firebase, AdMob) is automatically deleted according to each provider's data retention policies (default: 14 months).
5. Data Security Measures
We take the following measures to ensure secure data processing:
- Local Locking: You can restrict access to specific categories using PIN or biometric authentication.
- Encrypted Communication: When external transmission is required (Google Drive backup, ad requests, etc.), HTTPS is used.
- Data Minimization: We do not collect information that is not essential for service delivery.
- Access Restriction: Backup files are stored in an app-specific folder in your Google Drive, which the Developer cannot access.

7. Children's Privacy (Under 14)
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 14. If a child under 14 uses the App, parental (legal guardian) consent is required. If we become aware that a child's information has been collected without parental consent, we will delete that information immediately.

2-5. 인앱 결제 (Pro 업그레이드)
Pro 업그레이드는 Google Play Billing을 통해 처리됩니다. 당사는 결제 카드 번호 등 결제 수단 정보에 직접 접근하지 않으며, 구매 토큰 및 영수증 정보만 로컬에서 처리하여 Pro 활성화 여부를 확인합니다.

3. 권한 안내
본 앱은 핵심 기능 제공을 위해 다음 권한을 사용합니다.

- 공유받기: 다른 앱에서 본 앱으로 공유된 콘텐츠를 받아 사용자가 직접 저장 — 외부로 전송되지 않음
4. 개인정보의 보관 및 파기
본 앱은 사용자의 개인 식별 정보나 회원가입 정보를 서버로 수집하지 않으므로 개발자 측에서 별도로 파기할 개인정보가 없습니다.
- 로컬 데이터: 사용자가 저장한 모든 데이터는 기기 로컬에 존재하며, 앱을 삭제하면 모든 데이터와 설정이 즉시 영구적으로 파기됩니다.
- Google 드라이브 백업 데이터: 사용자가 본인의 Google 드라이브에서 직접 삭제하거나 앱에서 계정 연결을 해제할 수 있습니다.
- 제3자 익명 데이터: Firebase, AdMob 등 제3자 서비스를 통해 수집된 익명 데이터는 각 서비스 제공자(Google)의 데이터 보관 정책에 따라 자동 파기됩니다(기본 14개월).
